What is ToonTone?

ToonTone is an interactive color memory training game. Players study the signature color schemes of iconic cartoon and anime characters, lose the reference visual, and reconstruct the missing palette colors using HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) sliders.

CIELAB Delta-E Accuracy

Unlike simple RGB distance calculations, ToonTone measures accuracy using the CIE76 Delta-E (ΔE) formula. We convert your HSB color selections into the CIELAB color space, which is designed to be perceptually uniform relative to human eye sensitivity. A Delta-E score of less than 2.0 represents a perceptually imperceptible difference to the human eye!

Calibrate your visual accuracy across multiple game rounds to claim rank titles:

Spectrum Master: Average round match accuracy of 85% or above.
Chroma Expert: Average round match accuracy between 70% and 85%.
Color Novice: Average round match accuracy under 70%.
